Clay Middleton Raises $70,000 in Charleston Mayoral Bid
Charleston, SC – Clay Middleton, candidate for Charleston Mayor, wrapped up the second quarter fundraising period with over $70,000 raised, from over 300 contributors, in just 36 days since announcing his campaign. Since filing, the campaign continues to connect with voters, build momentum, and gain new supporters everyday.
Middleton, a longtime civic and community leader and lifelong Charlestonian, received contributions from over 300 individual donors in just 36 days since officially launching his campaign.
“I’m honored and humbled by the outpouring of support I’ve received since my campaign began. When I tell folks why I’m running – to make Charleston a city that works for everyone – it’s a message that resonates with a cross section of people,” said Middleton.
“I’m running to give back to a community that has given me so much. A city as rich in history and as complex as the city of Charleston requires a bold servant leader who understands its dynamics, and who can provide a clear vision to its future. This early support is a strong indication that the people of Charleston are eager to pave the way for a new brick in an old foundation,” said Middleton.
