Working For You
There is a Chinese proverb that says “one generation plants trees so the next will have shade.” I ran for the SC House of Representatives in order to step out of the shade that had been provided for me and begin to plant a few trees for the next generation. Thank you for believing in my ability to do that.
Although I lost the election, I believe the campaign sowed some seeds and planted some trees that when properly watered and pruned will bear some good fruit. I can truly say that I am more committed than ever before to public service and giving back to the community that gave so much to me.
Abraham Lincoln, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Jim Clyburn all lost political campaigns early in their careers, but none of them lost the will to continue the good fight. I intend to do the same thing.
I will be eternally grateful for your financial support and public commitment. It is gratifying to know that many people are willing to give young aspirants a chance, and I will work hard to maintain your faith in me.
I remain dedicated to public service and making Charleston and South Carolina a better place to live, work, and play, and I hope I can continue to count on your support. I am confident that the best is yet to come.
With One Vision, One Community, One New Voice working for you, we can work towards a brighter and better future.
